Understanding Life

Sometimes, I don't understand.
I don't understand,
How this world could be so cruel and unforgiving,
How people can be so mean to one another.

I don't understand,
How they tell you they love you,
Yet they won't even kiss you.

I used to understand.
I understood death, pain, and all in between.
Nowadays, I barely understand myself.
I barely understand the love I receive.

What am I to do about this?
I wonder if he still loves me...
He says he does,
But his actions betray his words.

What am I to do?
