Unforgettable

She served me
then got away,
I can't forget that smile upon a face of beauty
Till this day she haunts my memory.

We played the instruments of love
Making the greatest music I could never repeat,
The way she carried her tune to the heavens above
I constantly failed to match her beat.

I think of her now a ghostly girl
Free to move beyond a man,
I tried to fly within her world
She brought me ground to tell me who I am.

She's no mistake, not even questionably regrettable,
The one that got away will always be unforgettable.

Thanks Christopher no matter how broken a heart from the first you always remember how special it was in a short or long period of time she or he prepared you for what lies ahead.
