Unjust

Unjust

I come from,
Haunts of birds,
and scrapes and bruises,
I’m from dancing and singing,
And wonderful DNA,
And dirt underneath my filthy fingernails.
I come from plough and fields,
waiting for the ox,
And trying to catch a bird,
by throwing random rocks.
I travel from a place,
were television is fantasy,
And many people do not have,
even a penny.
I travel from a place where,
Every year I travel,
And on my birthday,
Contribute to their needs.
I’m from the meadows,
The tree and canopies,
I make the most of all my resources,
I’m from the toucans,
pecking on my sleeve,
I come from a place where
Every day is Halloween.

Inside of me I have,
the stories of my ancestors.
Their sins,
Their joy, love, happiness,
I’m from my homeland.
I hope one day I will find,
How I can make things better,
Hope is like a wish even better,
I wish, I wish,
My homeland will embrace,
The people of my country.
