Unopened Flower
Today come
In morning's dew,
Timid notÂ
In bouts of bees and butterfliesÂ
Bowing bulbÂ
Your petals closeÂ
To monsoon tears,
Stamen frozeÂ
As love pollen flowsÂ
Blossoms bloom and wither~ comes and goesÂ
No flower for you Ever grows,
Remain immortal
Centerpiece, in mystical secret gardensÂ
Awaited centuries to exposeÂ
Life ages under a sunny arrayÂ
No longer friend
Of night and day.
In light o'world lapsesÂ
Her ground steadily movedÂ
Give culprit toÂ
Freeze and thawÂ
Expand contract,
A weed creeps upÂ
Through the cracksÂ
Tangles delicately aroundÂ
Solid stemÂ
Becomes attachedÂ
Like us and them,
Takes from eternal flowerÂ
Flowers eternal curse,
Breathes it's loveÂ
Undertone in her blind reflection,
With promises;
" I shall sheen for youÂ
You must open for me,
Together we love, create, destroyÂ
Together an end to this lonely ploy."
A sudden sunlit smileÂ
Wet month endsÂ
An odd couple Blends,
His pedals crownedÂ
A rare floretÂ
Unfreezes her eyesÂ
To look upon thee,
Quickly dispersing pollen
Murmuring, "Come wither with me
We can shine on
Through our legacy."
