Unrequited
Nestled neath twilight, in enchanted trance
Lapping waters compose heartfelt dance
Love-struck by beauty pined in vain
Downtrodden for return nary obtain
Neon allure gleaming down
Gifting halo upon petal crown
How cruel tis fate to display
Such beauty, than snatch all away
Briny tears remain unshed
Akin lyrics gone unsaid
Sunrise illuminates skies
Dispelling unrequited ties
Sunkist upon petals touch
Balm, like healing smutch
Warmed by celestial shine
He whispers, you are mine
