Uptown Girl
It was way
back in 1991
Yet like a "Cold Case"
Your parting words
that early July evening
would never beÂ
forgotten
It would
take years
to find
the missing
pieces
to the puzzle
that fractured
our love
At the time
I felt forsaken
abandoned
thinking
the world would
never be right
again
Only to later
come to the
realization
that the
fruits
of a
bleeding
heart
is needed
to growÂ
as a Man
I still canÂ
taste
your teardrops
as I kissed
your cheek
to sayÂ
Goodbye
I am Glad
we met
but I am
also
Glad weÂ
departed
Because
by doingÂ
so
I found
My
SOMETHING.................
