Valerie?

Valerie?

It’s been hard, your life so far
Nicotine fingers, a habit you couldn't break – next to the drink
Two loves lost, then a husband now a daughter
at this age anyone could be next

Unpredictable weather, yet the laundry still on the line
Deceiving friends, yet your door remains open

Blue home by the shore
The sea your neighbor – you, hers
One wavy, the other crazy
Both have ‘their days’ (though yesterday wasn't yours)

Your life so far, it’s been hard.
Why don’t you come on over Valerie?
