Valium dreams

Valium dreams

The Lord is my shepherd

I shall not want

Yet I do

I want and I want

In the pant and sweat

I desire everything I see

Upon the TV,

The radio

And the marketing I see

I want and I want

Everything I see

Everything I taste

In this bulimic haste

In this glutinous greed

Upon which this soul is;

As I open the fridge

Looking,

Seeking

Searching for the truth

If only Shakespeare had written the truth

Instead, Macbeth

And all the lies, the

Deceptions,

I shall not want, I shall not want

I shall not want

But I do

In the sunrise drinking this cocktail

In the sunset of Valium dreams

In the morning going to bed

As the evening wakes instead

To the insomnia and hyperthermia

In the shiver of this cold night

I do, begging across the floor

Asking God for more

I shall not want,

No I shall not want

Damn; I shall not

Beg for more

Yet I do....

The Lord is my Shepherd

I shall not want.

Yo Jai Masters, incredible prose you have written here. Iam a big fan of this one. The phrasing and well placed rhyme really makes this a great piece. I had a rough go with viccodin dreams, but lately I prioritize the need for necessity and reward the want. Peace.

Devon I woke up 530am and

write what I feel; the morning begins

with hell and ends with heaven;

and somewhere between a prayer;

your children saviours;

thank you for good words;

I fortunate to meet you.

My best wishes

Jai:)
