Vamp

Blushing cheeks 
Pigmented skin 
Pulsating veins beneath the skin 
Eyes closed tightly in blissful sleep 
In I creep while you sleep 
As I move I make no sound 
Because my feet hover above the ground  
Stopping now beside your bed 
Your breath upon my face 
I take my nail and slice your skin 
And taste the salty goodness deep within 
The smell of blood drives me wild 
Reminds me when I was turned as a child 
I see my prize within hands reach 
Your skin is what I wish to breach 
And breach I shall 
I move closer still
Pulsating vein under the skin 
Plays a tune, I must dig in 
I place my fangs upon your neck 
My teeth sink in, I start to grin 
The salty blood trickles down your neck 
I start to suck and slowly sip 
The colour drains from your skin 
Your veins are blackened  
Your skin ash white 
Your heart makes no sound 
It no longer lives 
Its dead and blackened 
Just like your eyes 
They slowly open 
And look around 
You look in the mirror 
No reflection stares back 
All there is, is the hunger 
The thirst, the need to feed 
the need to make some poor soul bleed 
The hunger 
The hunger 
You are reborn
Return to your slumber
The day dawns
