Vampire

Diamond pupils set in golden orbs,
Ears perked, listening to all around them,
Fangs poking through with each yawn,
Seduction and manipulation in their claws.
They rub up against their pets,
Playing the role of the innocent tease;
Then they venture beyond the walls,
And sacrifice another purely for their pleasure.
Their latest victims' neck dangling between clenched fangs,
The body flailing around as they pounce
From one fence to the other.
The blood coats their previously white mouth,
Trickling down their neck,
Matting war paint into their armour,
The idealistic picture of power.
Prey tossed in the dirt at their pets' feet,
Unwanted, now that the toy is dead.
With pride, they parade the kill to their pet,
Smirking in the euphoria of death,
Shouting it's vicious war cry with one unabashed
Meow.

Meow in the last was a stunning approach to wrap up the poem
Very powerful this one, loved how you explained the power of the beast.
