Vanity

Vanity

In winning
a 64000
dollar
slot machine
Jackpot,
The Gambler
Told me

Jesus
is Good

Lost 4000
the day
before
40000
last
year
is what
she said
as I provided
security
for her
during
the process

She gleamed
that she
told
the Lord
that if
he would
let her
win
She would
quit
Gambling

I could
not help
but think
A lot
of hungry
children
did not
eat
today
and countless
people
remain
homeless
Yet in this
Woman's mind
God had
answered
her prayers

The Payout
was given
to her
as she
Praised
the God Above

She was
intent
on keeping
her promise
of Abstinence
However
the Poker
room
was located
on her way
out
and she
could
not help
but stop
by
for a quick
hand.............................................
