Vengeance

Vengeance

Lock stock and smoking cannons,
Wingtip heels and piercing eyes.
Empty shells and bourbon barrels,
Guzzling whiskey wild in ice.

Tobacco ablaze, smoky wreath,
Riding stallion into town,
Gun toting and bestowed with grief,
Sharpened eyes under Texan crown.

Rattle of spurs dismounting,
Liquor necked, broken flask,
Approaches saloon in flouncing,
Tumbleweed comes to pass.

Fingertips loose itching to fire,
Filthy scoundrels’ standoff and wait,
They took from his wench in dire,
Fastest irons await their fate.

He pulls an ace and fires fast,
Each man covered in blood and smoke,
Falls victim of his pistols blast,
Life in sin has been revoked!
