Victoria Falls

Victoria Falls

The flood has taken over.
In a world of its own,
Nothing surrounds this watered desert
Except itself and a cloud.
A cloud, the child of the disaster.
Shrinking and growing at once.
Something that once was a tree
Has its final branch being torn downstream.

Until everything stops.

The disaster’s product clears.
Now emerges the falls.
The flood never was,
In fact, its beauty is a river.
A river which leads me to the edge,
This large scaled wonder
Now and forever will look tiny,
But that flood, that is mighty.
