Vietnam Remembered

Vietnam Remembered

Veterans of Nam may be older, slower, and not as lean, but still in shimmering light they gleam.
O're oceans, mountains, and valleys fought, for their own lives, they gave not a thought.
From jungle trails, past train yard rails, through rice paddies, ponds, and mountain streams.
To the ones on the left, and others to the right, it was for them they delivered the fight.

From all circles of life, these veterans came, Soldier, Sailor, Airman, and Marine.
From morning to night, even days twilight, were rockets, bombs, and trip wires wrought.
Some flew, some road, some walked, from transports and choppers were they dropped.
At home towards each and everyone, was kindled anger and hate at the insidious strife.

O'er the passage of time, mans kindred spirit did awaken it would seem.
Blessing a nations understanding, the reason and rhyme these valiant men fought.
Twas courage and honor each gained, the love for one another, a biblical light.
Some lived, some died, all did a little inside, tis time to remember, that they be glorified.
Craig Danielson
Semper Fidelis.
