Poem -
VIOLENT LOVE
When words just aren't enough
There's nothing more to say
Many bridges have been burnt
Another heartache; another day
Life feels empty; without meaning
"I love you's" ...no longer shared
Thrown around like blank confetti
But you, you never cared
Though our fire now just a flicker
Your words, forever they'll burn
So why am I so cold and empty?
Its been a painful lesson to learn
I want so badly to be rescued
Myself I need to save
Finally I've found the courage
No longer will I be your slave
There's nothing more you can do to me
I'll be guided by the light from above
Once a fire: Now just smoldering embers
A silent ending to a violent love...
