Violet

Violet

The violet running through your veins
It's falling out your eyes
Leaving droplets on the floor
That make a
               Pitter
                      Patter
Seeping into the cracks of the floor boards
On which we stand
Falling slowly
                    Drip
                         Pause
                                Drip
As we stand there our hearts bleed into our veins
Into our eyes
Into the ground
Where we can never retrieve it
Hallow bodies
Still standing
