voices

voices

I hear sweet voices
in the green woodland and dell
Whispers from the babbling brook
The tinkling joy of a Christmas bell

They tell us of springtime’s
and natures power.
To bring new sunlight
To glow each flower.

The voice talks of renewal
from winters wrath.
Of how we can change
if we follow the path.

They sing the joy of the seasons
The storms and the flood.
Of the pathways of life
the bad and the good.

There’s a voice in the willows
a voice in the sky.
We know who is speaking
for we have heard him
both you and I
