Voices

yesterday all I heard were voices
voices came through the phone
voices came to my door
voice came by mail
but the one voice I was anticipating
the one voice that fills my heart with
so much joy
yesterday that voice was silent
and missed.
But today is full of hope, today I won't
be sad, I know that loving voice will
find its way to me saying
Happy late birthday dad.
