" The Vow" Leo's Story

" The Vow" Leo's Story

"Life is all about moments of impact and how they change our lives forever"

Here is a true story
About two lover's, destined for glory
Moment of impact number one;
Had offered me the sun
Placing it,right inside my beating heart
This love I had found, was brilliant from the very start
A love at first sight, was experienced in the daylight
Followed by our first date, which we pleasured the same night
When her and I had first met
It was the most magical a moment could get
The sense of an instant mental connection
Lead to moments full of beauty and absolute perfection
Inside of my beating heart, I just knew
"It was her" that my entire future belonged to
I was determined, that I had found my "Soul mate"
That her and I were created  for each other, by the hands of fate
So I approached, her before she entered her car
Feeling, a bit bizarre, having gone so far
Just for a chance
For a burning hot romance
To be created, for me
But, from what I could see
There was a mutual, attraction
That would lead to a lifetime, of sensual satisfaction
Between a man and a woman, who were meant to be
Together, she was the woman who God created for me
To love and adore
After each passing second, I loved her even more
Than I did I did the second before
She had been exactly what I had always asked for
She was sexy and wild, but gentle and sweet
Outgoing, but also sensual and discrete
I felt such a fascination, within every moment we had spent together
I was always left with a soul, that floated like a feather
In the sky
I could never say good-bye
To the woman who made my heart completely fly
Away, with just one sensual kiss
I was determined to hand her the greatest feeling of inner bliss
As the days flew on past
We had gotten married, at last
Build the family that we both desired to create
But, there was a twisting turn in fate
Coming our way, out of the clear blue
When one horrid day, I made it to
" Our Moment of impact number two"
The moment, had arrived
I must admit, though we were lucky to have survived
The event, which was so horrifying
When something absolutely terrifying
Crossed our love built path, that her and I had created
Though, I would never consider a single moment wasted
Soon, I was to face the storm
The night that thousands of snowflakes, were left to swarm
The night-time sky forming a layer of snow
Upon the face, of the city road it may of held an angelic glow
But, it was slippery and delivered pure horror
For the memories of the night-time explorer
As I kissed my wife good night
I only remember seeing a source of light
Then a huge "BOOM" took place
Creating a memory, that today I wish to erase
The Snow plow, came crashing
Into our rear end,and my wife's head went smashing
Through the windshields tainted glass, she landed on the hood of my car
A tiny skull fracture, can go very far
When the ambulance had arrived
I was not even aware, if she had survived
Then everything went completely black, entirely silent
How could such beauty turn so violent?
I recovered fairly quickly, but sadly she never did truly recover
She had lost her memory of the recent years and had to rediscover
The woman, that she had turned out to be
The woman, who was in love with me, though she had no memory
Of the love at first sight
Or the times we had made love the entire night
She did not remember, marrying me
She simply no longer knew me, I was simply a lost memory
I had to fight, to take her back home
Because it was with her parent's she had wished to roam
She simply, knew that territory
Though I managed to eventually
Bring her home, to our house , full of our previous love
Asking the assistance, from angel's up above
We had grown extremely distant
Our love, was no longer existent
Well mine, burnt forever long
For her my heart stood forever strong
I had done everything possible, to get her to fall back in love with me
I had even relived our first date, and went dipping in the crisp cool sea
But, eventually there was a divorce
Leaving me, dying with sadness and remorse
I still could not let go
Sometime's we just know
That giving up, would be a huge mistake
For a whole year, I felt the lonely ache
Of her being gone, missing her like crazy
Hoping that she would come take away this lonely misery
Waiting upon the "Moment of impact number three"
To bring her back to me
After she had moved back into the city
Hoping she would eventually, re-appear
Never seeing her again, was my greatest fear
One night though, she came across the paper with "The Vow"
Written on it, and some way some how
She found me, looking for somewhere's warm
It was icy and cold, from another winter's storm
A year after, it looked identical to the day of the crash
So as through the snow, my feet continued to slash
I decided to look up instead of down, and to my surprise
There she was, approaching me, to look into my eyes
Tell me thank you, though " I did nothing"
She claimed " Oh, but you did everything
You are the only one who accepted me
For who I am and not who you wanted me to be"

Asking me, about the Cuban place that we used to go
Saying she had spoken to our friend, about how we used to live, what we used to do
Saying she heard I was not seeing anybody, which was true
She may have never re-gained her memory
Though, she did spend the rest of her life with me, we made our family
That we had hoped to create before
I now believe " I lost her, so I would end up loving her even better than before"

Great write, Melissa, and somewhere towards the middle I remember watching this movie on cable, and not seeing the beginning; I was watching it thinking that it was so far fetched, but liking the story all the while, I couldn't turn it off, and when they said it was a true story,  I rewatched the whole thing....yes you did a superb write here; recaping the events the man recreated to make her remember....the part about the  Cuban restaurant was superb; if memory serves me correctly (pardon the pun) she never did regain her memory, but fell in love with her husband (ex) all over again, that is a great twist in a movie, and had to be real; nobody would think to make that up....The Vow, wow; superb movie and your write does it a great justice, really enjoyed reading this...five stars, virtual high five, and a favorite

Hey Chris, thank you buddy, lol oh so you did watch the movie? You should really watch the beginning though. In doing so you will be able to connect more with the emotions of the characters. It is an honor that you think I did a superb write. I plan on writing over a couple other movies tonight as well. No she never is able to regain her memory, but the moments that Leo had fought to re-win her love certainly did the trick. I absolutely love stories like this especially when it is based on a true story. It inspires me to open up to love that my heart fears to accept. Thanks a lot Chris!!! Cheers man! xox

Sincerely,
Melissa <3
