Poem -

WAGES

You are Voc:
the loud mouth chomping
like the hands of the clock
Behind you is a drive you cannot stop,
an insatiable hunger like a teenage cockĀ

It's up to you where to direct your life
Develope an appetite for flesh
on earth, in water or sky
Wherever you set your lustful eye
that will be the flavour of your pie

Do you want peace and joy
or do you crave power and war
You often sing for the former
but your louder whispers desire conflict more
And spending speaks louder for sure
than the childrens' coloured pictures
that line your kindergarten walls

Don't pretend you're innocent
Stop shedding crocodile tears
Your racism's been fuming for years
Exposing a lack of trust, faith and love
and a gahenam full of selfish fears
We have heard the sound of machines
producing bullets and guns, bombs and jets,
as you further upgrade your gears

Oh Humanity why can't you repent..
Why can't you just make peace?
So much wasted time you've spent
for only my Earth to fleese!
You have had my blood without cease
And yet you've trampled on my sheeps
(as an alternate fuel), and sold the poor for grease

That oil won't help you now
Smooth talking will not work
There's a limit to how much the Creation can take
I'll have to intervene soon, if only for their sake
I entrusted you again to understand
Yet after two thousand years you still force my hand
And commit injustice upon the whole land
