Waiting

They say good things happen to those who wait,
I've been waiting nineteen years,
two months,
and fourteen days.
So far,
Not so good.
Small tragedies set up a stage for a horror film.
Perfectly lined up.
Foreshadowing the inevitable.
Good things happen to those who wait.
Yeah,
Right.
Some may argue that my life is just now beginning.
That I have to run for my dreams.
Good things happen to those who wait,
But from where I stand
From this tragedy,
There is no escape.
My shoes are glued to the floor,
And shards of glass surround my feet.
Good things happen to those who wait.
I have no choice but to wait.
I'm waiting.
Have been waiting,
And will continue waiting.
For nothing.

waiting.Very nicely worded original
concepts always ad to the flavor of
a poem. You did very well with this
one a little on the angry side but
entertaining non the less.
