Waiting For My Wings

I sit, and wait, thinking tis all a dream.

I sleep, I wake, still, never finding peace.

I'm young, warm sun, still, so incomplete.

Lord, I'm just waiting for my wings.

Forgive me, for sinner I am, no one is perfect, we're only human.

To see the things you made, created, by two hands.

So I sit and flow my river, as time she drops her sands.

For light you given me, to separate the dark.

Thanks to you, I am a man, of growing deeper heart.

For this light I shine, a gift from you, which shall never depart.

I await my wings.

So much pain, added to this woe, so much so, I almost lost my soul.

But thanks to those you brought to me, I've come to better know.

I will wait my wings and live your plan, whatever that may be.

For I just wait the day, I can spread my wings.
