WAITING ON PAYDAY

Breaking news at the top of the hour

Today I got pay there is no need to borrow

I know at times I look a wreck

But it's rough as heck

Living form paycheck to paycheck.

Some of my friends become dumb

As soon as I come around

They know I have little mouths to feed

Yet my so called friends would not sow a seed.

Give and it shall be given to you

But only for a few this is true

The ones that has little are always first to share

But those with much, well they easily disappear.

Today I will pay a few bills

I don't have much to spend

I couldn't say how the other will be taken care of

And only God knows when.

Living this life makes me mad as heck

Especially when I think of how

I am going to make it

From paycheck to paycheck.
