Waiting For True Love To Come

~~

The night it gets too lonely.
The days they get too long.
I’ve been waiting for true
love to come.
To finally come along.

The time it ate my life away
Bit by bit each day.
But I’ve been waiting
for true love to come
waiting night and day.

In sleep I see you baby
When the moon has taken flight.
When the sands of time are flowing
In the dark and lonely night.

You are waiting for true love to come
Waiting just like me.
Maybe loves a drifting ship
on an endless becalmed sea

Baby let’s get married
We waited here too long.
Let’s be lonely together.
Singing the sweetest wedding song.

I know it’s something crazy
Maybe crazy’s what we need.
We can pray for patience in the sun.
While were waiting for true love to come.
