Walk in the night

The crisp cold breeze,
The dark night sky.
Birds flying in the moonlight.
The Noise of cars on the street.
Chit chatting people.
Lights a bit blinding to my eyes.
The cool air entering my lungs,
Slowly and calmly.
The anxiety left me and flowed in the wind..
Long stretch of sidewalk.
I walk along it,
Alone in the night
Clearing all my thoughts.
Yet the thought of you lingers still.
The warmth of our interlaced fingers.
The sound of your voice in my ear.
Your arms tightly around me.
Like no one else is here.
Our steps in sync,
And our echoed laughs.
One night I will walk with you.
When the moon is shining bright.
Stars covering the sky and cars passing by.
Today I walked alone.
But I promise the next time you will be by my side.
I can’t wait till THAT night.
