Walk Turned Nightmare

Walk Turned Nightmare

Many stories we do not tell.....
For this one it's time to spill,
Where painted rocks do lay still,
Where memories are all that fill,
Where the dead are put to rest, you see,
If only a reality.

It's time to tell my story to you,
So listen carefully,
A day so bright and warm,
With winds so soft an calm,
How perfect it may have seemed.

On this very day we did plan,
To come and visit with you two,
For it had been so long ago,
Since last time we spoke to you.

Do not ask my why so long?
Please just sit there patiently,
As you listen carefully.

As we sat and shared with you,
Of memories throughout the years,
A reminder has become a stray,
To why we do not visit you,
For evil lurks the ground you lay.

A gust of wind so suddenly,
The ground shook so rapidly,
As laughter filled the air in streams,
No this is not a dream.

Most of you would have ran by now,
Instead we chose to stand our ground,
As we listened to that sound,
For we truly love a mystery.

As we walked the grounds to seek,
A sudden shock came to be,
As she appeared behind the scene,
A women who was wise in age,
We didn't find it very strange,
Until she vanished without a trace,
As laughter filled the air.

As we seek the grounds once more,
We stumbled upon a tree,
With twisted branches that were bowed,
A very wicked tree it seemed,
For down below there laid a crypt,
One that has been there for centuries,
As we stand there memorized,
Laughter filled the air once more.

As we listened carefully,
To the laughter from the tree,
As if it was a ploy,
To keep us so desperately,
For what had followed next,
Surely made us run.

Sounds of chains a rattling,
Filled the air this time,
As if a beast laid there,
To guard the tomb below the tree.

I think we woke the beast,
For which we heard a growl,
I think it's time to leave,
Not before we heard a crack,
That split the tomb in half,
I think we set it free.

Thank you Tony I'm glade you enjoyed my poem.
I too have serious interest in the paranormal, well actually it has more interest in me than I do of it. Just recently I have embraced and to be honest I didn't make this up It actually happened to me and my cousin as we went to go visit with my grandpa and my other cousin who was taken from us at a young age. We did not go there looking for the supernatural but however it found us. I have only step foot on that ground 4 times and each time it was different outcome. Most my stories are from my own experiences.

A grrrrrrrrrrreat story in a poem, Tara (notice the growl there in great, heh-heh?).
Knowing that you enjoy paranormal investigating as I do, I'd say this is true, or biographical, rather than merely speculation.
There are things that happen when you ghost hunt that simply can't be explained away, neither logically or scientifically.
You may have let something out of that tomb.
Thank God it didn't follow you home!
Excellent, as usual,
Horror Hugs!

Thank you Dean, however this happened before I started the whole ghost hunting thing my cousin and I were just there to visit my grandpa and my cousins grave which I have tried to do so many times but every time we walked up the hill a big Gus of wind would always come out of nowhere so I would always leave. This happened the last time I actually sat and visit with them and I haven't been back since something happened after we left which I saved that for another story.
