WALKING FORWARD

Lord, let the sun come out today; let your rays shine through

I feel the light behind the clouds, help others feel it too

Let them know the dawn today will bring them great elation

And that you give them strength and courage to build a better nation

Lord, let the sun come out today, help my friends feel at peace

Show them that going forward that their pain soon will cease

Tell them they are each protected and show them what they must do

I know you're always with them Lord, I have unshakable faith in you

As they set on this new road, Lord, let it not be in haste

Help them see their importance Lord, let their minds not go to waste

You've been by me forever Lord, and you've helped me when alone

Now I am in a different place, and this family needs a better home

Thank you again for all you have done and for showing me two sides

One that is dark one that is light, the latter one still shines

Take my friends by the hand Lord, guide them through their confusion

Help them understand right from wrong and clear their minds of all delusions

I'm here for them today dear Lord; this was my real choice

I know what is in their hearts and souls, let them find their voice

I will help them pick up all the pieces that seem so lost and scattered

And, as long as my friends can breathe in peace that is all that really matters…
