WALKING ON TRAIN TRACKS

WALKING ON TRAIN TRACKS

Innocence in danger

But what is danger

To the mind of a child

Playing with fire

So sparks can fly upwards

A slithering snake catches the eyes

Changing colors as the sun reflects

On this beautiful venomous friend

Who's beauty conceals it's true intentions

And wisdom is beyond reach

Adulthood has arrived

But the games continues

Chances are taken endangering a friend

Playing with death unaware of the end

Maturity and adulthood

Sometimes are foes

Senselessly walking on train tracks

Rejecting the deafening sound

And thunderous roar.
