Walking on Water

Walking on Water

I remember when you told me my destiny,
What you had planned,
And that I would need faith to do this,
For walking on water, you would command.

Never had I done anything like this,
Nor ever would have dreamed,
Yet you set this great bed of sea before me,
And trusting in you I would step out and believe.

With all the courage I could muster up,
The journey would begin,
Your hand below the silent waves,
My mission you had for me and then send.

You have been so faithful to see me through,
With fears I had for so long now gone,
For you have been the one to hold me up,
My feet on the water yet still standing strong.
