walls

walls

We build walls around ourselves.

Hiding behind them in hope they wont fall.

Walls we build and fashion ourselves.

They become our lonely prison cells.

Walls we think protect,

Become the walls we regret.

Because, We slowly start to die

From the seclusion within.

From these walls that cage us in.

And we build these walls around us.

Because we have distrust.

Walls we build to keep us from hurt.

crush our confidence, and steals our worth.
