Walruses Lives Matter

Walruses Lives Matter

don't think so, the Walrus
said, resting on his paunch...
The carpenter was not deterred
to evacuate the Launch..
The oysters stirred from their
bed,
The razor fish looked gaunt..
in the middle of the night
with the sun at highest point..

An octopus cried it's just
an ancient mariners rhyme..
If I gave a toss..
I'd shoot the albatross,
and lob it in the brine..

the Walrus said, the time
has come, to talk of many things..
crews, ships and feeling crap..
and how Walruses have feelings..

the cockles cocked, and mock
prawns mocked..and turtles
tootled out..
"Leave the Walrus on the Deck"!
came the silent shout.

waves crashed upon the shore,
I'm sure all begins to float..
the porpoise and a snail
set sail in a pea green boat.

( they'd heard this duo ate
all the oysters at their
last encounter)
and escaped before
the arrival of the bread
and butter.

the Lobster quipped
hold thy lip..
and your eight pointy
fingers...
The Octopus isn't
one of us..
your ink stinks..
and it lingers..

it's a bit fishy all round..
the Walrus laughed..
I think I will stand my ground.
on this raft.

( there's a huge walrus in Tenby, Wales sitting on a life boat launch)

Walruses...I love them...they're the King's of the Sea.  ...I wish everyone respected the animal kingdom..but where do we start..we've been killing them for centuries.   One way or another..don't know which is worse..in captivity or wild..I'd like to think wild..just having a play Through the Looking glass..thanks Marian.x
