Wandering

Darkness creeps into her soul,

broken and lost she wanders alone.

A world full of so many souls,

nobody should have to be so alone.

those that should be there to guide her way,

were the first to walk away.

Somehow despite all of this,

she finds strength inside to carry on and persist.

She keeps on trying to find her way,

to a place in life where she feels safe.

One day as she walked the same lonely road,

she came to a building she never noticed before.

The music from inside was calling her name,

telling her she's finally found the place.

A place where love can't walk away,

where family is more than a last name.

She stepped inside and her life changed,

her ideas about love rearranged.

For the first time in her short life,

She wanders not alone but with others by her side.
