Poem -

For Want Of A Kiss

Busy for nothing, and wondering often
Famous crowds, musical footsteps
Two eyes lock and time stands still
But for a brief moment amid footprints

The view is perfect, the gaze thunderous
Hearts beating as if they would break
The kiss has the deepest green light
In such a moment who indeed would take

Alas, the footsteps shift, so to the gift
What time gave it now takes away
Two remember they are but strangers
Shadows give signs of the passing day

She moves with her crowd, him his
For the want of a Kiss, tarry is king
Crowds can be unforgiving, with their impulse
And give no regard to hearts that sing

Back at home, each sit in eternity's silence
Wishing that the other had made a move
The silence depends, at it should have been me
For the want of a kiss, time begs for more
