War

War

Black billows, smoke and dust, screaming in echoes,
Robust men lay down their lives and create widows and orphans amidst the cries.

Clattering of swords and flesh and bone, together and yet alone, in slain, in vain, for conquering empire, dire, bodies lay in waste, spirits flown.

Valour and mettle settle their fate from very few survive, the masses are late, desecrate, lay crumpled in heaps, last breath and weep.

Cut throat in gloat to be killed and driven down, around no one sees, for most they beg to be free.

Crimson fields in ruin beneath the view of celestial heights in wait, in sorrow, there meaningless demise, hollow.
Kings retract intact romanced and dined, order of all that is defined.

The description is amazing, I feel as if I'm at the battlefield,
thrilling, vivid and effective.
Awesome work!
