War Cries

Out on the battlefield and not alone
hear the thunderous bangs and terrible moans
The enemy is drawing near
you cannot see them but you know their here
For every bang you hear a cry
"Somebody help me I don't want to die"
You feel so helpless and all alone
You cannot help them, their on their own
Body shaking and filled with fear
"Help me please" is all you hear
I don't know what to do I'm only young
Help me please, please someone 
I don't want to die for my mistakes
Should I have joined, for now it's too late 
Just like the others , lives are at stake
God be with you and our enemies too
And please look after all who we loose
