War Kills Flowers

War Kills Flowers

ย War kills flowers ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย ย
ย They are born like a bud blooming
ย On a spring morning, innocent and new with no mourning.
Mother is as bright as a sun flower and as sweet as a honeysuckleย

war kills flowers.
8 years go by heโ€™s riding his bike but falls, he lets out a small whimper, but gets up and grows like a young velvety rose..
War kills flowers.
10 years and heโ€™s a strapping young man with a heart of gold his mother who has grown old crying in the cold as she watches his stand in line she kisses his cheek as he boards the bus and smiles at him softlyย
War kills flowers.
Thereโ€™s a knock at the door where two men in uniform stand with pain in their eyes, they handed her a folded flag and a letter that said she should have pride but who could have pride when they knew their rose had died
War kills flowers.
Not long after that mother sunflower sat as the end of his bed she laid her head down with heavy eye taking in the lingering smell.. as her heart began to stop she heard her sons voice..
War kills flowers.

Thank you so much Iย really do like this site.. Poetry has always been a thing that ive loved to do but the kind i write are seen dark and disturbing so I cant really share it with family and friends because ill be seen as depressed.. Im so glad its not like that here.
