WAR ON THE STREETS OF WOOLWICH

WAR ON THE STREETS OF WOOLWICH

Stopping death of Muslims was the reason that they gave

For killing a poor soldier who was butchered to his grave

‘Help the Heroes’ t-shirt was the top that he did wear

With a military rucksack; a cross he had to bear

They saw this as a signal; a red rag to a bull

But these bulls were full of hatred and for life their senses dull

Two evil brutes they hacked at him; blow on blow, they reigned

No crowd could even manage such evil to restrain

This poor unsuspecting soldier was off duty; not at war

But treated like an animal; left lying at death’s door

The horror was for all to see, no person spared the view

The beasts that came to kill that day insisted cameras knew

“Allah Akbar!!!” they did rant as they tortured this poor guy

“God is great” translated!! NO ACT OF MUSLIMS; they did lie

And when they’d carried out, such heinous acts so sick

They preached to the disgusted that this should do the trick

“ You people won’t be safe,” they declared for all to hear

“An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth,” is what they heard one jeer

Crazy and deluded; harrowing and sad

These blood crazed evil butchers; with their accomplishment quite glad

Madness did ensue from the moment people saw

Exactly what was going on; the horror and the gore

One woman did protest to the guy that had a knife

She questioned his mad actions: “Drop the weapons; change your life!”

But with these blood crazed individuals, no reasoning was to be

They believed in their ‘just cause’, their hellish acts they didn’t see

So the police they did arrive, intervened and took up charge

Officers with firearms, the lunatics at large

These Muslims with their guns and knives were now in hot pursuit

The woman marksman shot them both and took down the vicious brutes

Captured and detained, now questioned for their acts

Meetings after meetings; churned up all the awful facts

Abhorrent deeds to hurt us in a worldwide spread of fear

Threat of more reprisals; all British shed a tear

Cobra was its codename, even military were shocked

Soldiers all around the land, weapons wait half-cocked

Muslims felt such outrage as their faith was used to kill

Christians feeling anger, this would never be God’s will

But despite the shock being global please let’s not forget that day

A woman lost her husband; a baby’s father took away ........

A poem that I wrote some time ago that I have edited.  Felt it was a fitting piece in light of this weeks' trial.

In honour of a very brave soldier and father!

for me this is a good tribute piece rachel.im catholic but what they did to this man was disgusting . in front of a nation ,on television  brought tears to my eyes. it proved to the world that extremists  are out there among us .hacking him the way they did  was no excuse for the war. it was cowardly and for the way it was captured on film ,blood on the murderers hands after  brought home that anyones life can be taken in such circumstances .   good write rachel !!     tina x

Cheers Tina, it is hard which way to go with something like this; and some people may feel it shouldn't be written about all time, but as you know I don't tend to shy away from such subjects and I hope it told the story in a respectful manner!!!  Thanks for reading :)

Hello Rachel,

A very beautiful poem in honor of a truly falling soldier, whom was placed in the eyes of all the world to see...Yet they claim to in the name of God, whatever (God),(his captors) claim to serve, truly isn't the one you ,I and all others, that speak out against such inhuman acts of atrocities. The same God they prayed to while engaged in this horrific crime, will be the same (God), that takes his delight in inviting and accepting them into the gates of hell, thus being (Lucifer).Wonderful poem and for such a sad reason for it to have to be created but for a cause well worth it, for us all to take heed to and out loudly bring attention to its address. A tribute well done by the poet and well beyond deserving by this young man, in the eyes of all.......

In honor of Lee,
Jim

Hi Jim, hope you are well and have a great time at Christmas and New Year.  Pleased you thought the piece a fitting tribute.  It is such an awful story and a sad legacy they have left for this family; no one should have to go through that; and it certainly wasn't an act of faith!!  Thanks for reading Jim, your kind words are always much appreciated :)

Valerie Beasley...

OMG what a horrific story and wonderful write to honor this soldier!  "Islam" means surrender and submission.  This faith is one of violence and is based on the determination that all people of every nation must surrender and submit. As one who believes in God the scriptures speaks about these children of Ismael…Ezekiel 8:17…"For they have filled the land with violence and have turned again to provoke me in anger… "Therefore will I also deal with wrath; my eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity; and though they cry in my ears with loud voice, yet I will not hear them."  There will be a reckoning and a punishment.

Excellent write!!!
