WAY OF THE TRANSGRESSOR

 Â
Never a bright momentÂ
Storms one after the otherÂ
Climbing digging scrapingÂ
Trying to make ends meetÂ
Living in fearÂ
Wondering from place to placeÂ
Looked down upon as scumÂ
Feeling like the dust on the groundÂ
Crushed under the feet of men
But still waking to a horrible end
No desire to change his waysÂ
But still hoping for better daysÂ
Fighting against the established truthÂ
That a good tree brings forth good fruitÂ
Each day he believes the lie
Closing his eyes
His pride keeps him blindÂ
He has strayed away from the word of God
Rejecting the fact
That the way of a transgressorÂ
Is hard.

Hello Sir Tony..
Its always my pleasure to chew on your comments my friend.. Best of health to you .. Enjoy your weekend.
Ahhhhh, nicely penned, Sir Barker!
Pride is the scourge of all mankind, is it not?
From whom do we think our gifts of gab come from?
Does it simply manifest itself one day all on its own, prompting us to take up a pen and begin to write?
Or, is writing something inherent deep within us that we feel we must do in order to feel...normal?
I suppose it all depends on one's perception.
Good stuff, sir!
