Wayup high in the cloudy sky đź’•

I know why you are grimacing,Â
It wasn’t something that I said
Tho I did tuck you in over-tightly when I left you in your bed..
I wasn’t in your room for long, and I sang you a lullaby
You said it made you Oh so happy
when you looked up to the sky
I wondered what you were looking at as you gazed so longingly
You made me very emotional when you said “Mammy,  Nanas watching me”..
Yet I couldn’t see your Nana, there was only clouds up high
I thought you were imagining seeing your Nana from your weary eye..
But then from out of the blue, you said to me “Can you not see Nana, she is smiling down at you..
Well my goodness gracious me, you made me look up and stare
And  Oh my giddiant sure enough, I could see your Nana way up there..
She was standing looking down from the sky,
with such a massive smile on her face
I couldn’t help my tearful cry as I glared up into space..
Then in a blink of an eye your Nana disappeared,
Another cloud passed us by, it was all very weird..
And tho we searched in that cloudy sky, Nana had gone awayÂ
But we heard her clearly whisper “Goodbye my dears I will come back another day”..

Thanking you kindly Greg ❤️💙❤️
Jill you never write a bad poem you always deliver the goods and take a reader anywhere. There is so much magic and honesty in what you write and how you write it.
Every poem by your good self I've read either captivates or has something so crystal clear to display for any any lucky reader.
You can take one on a journey and that journey is good.
Thanks Jill for sharing your poetry magic.
We all need something to brighten our day.
