Poem -

We Are Three

Each and every one of us are really individuals of three,

First is the person that others judge and perceive us to be.

Without taking the time to get to know whats in our heart or in our soul,

Never even asking about our greatest wish, biggest dream or lifelong goal.

Second is the person that we each believe ourselves to be,

Each of us believing we have our own unique traits, morals and quality.

We all like to think of ourselves as very giving, so caring and so kind,

All searching our souls, reaching for our dreams and always feeding our mind.

We all learn a different lesson with every mistake that we make,

And we all truly believe that God never hands us more than we can take.

Some of us learn from our mistakes and it makes us that much stronger,

Yet some of us are weakened by them and feel that we cant go on any longer.

We think of ourselves as nurturing, very loving and still so carefree,

Then yes, third is the person god intended for us all to be.

Each of us he has instilled with qualities that are exactly the same,

Qualities like faith, strength, cheer and all believing in his precious name.

The ability to be so giving and to know that theres always hope,

And of course when things weigh heavy the strength to always cope.

What each of us do with these qualities will determine who we turn out to be,

But the person that we each truly are is only the one God can see.
