We Left Our Hearts In Sunny Florida
Our bodies are in Ohio, but our hearts are nowhere near;
We left them down in sunny Florida, which we love so very dear!
We were lured north by a liar, who made us a sacred pledge;
Promising six figure a year income, so we went out on a ledge!

Like fools we believed him, and left our beloved State;
But it took him only eight months, to break his word and seal our Fate!
He robbed us of mega-thousands, but no recourse did we have;
Blindsided by his treachery, a broken-hearted Mom and Dad!
.
So now we daily struggle, to try and make ends meet;
It’s hard to rebuild our finances, and get back on our feet!
We dream of returning to sunny Florida, but that happening looks bleak;
Yet, every day, we put our heads together, and a solution do we seek!

We trusted and lost
Will we see the sun again
Or frozen assets

I think I remember what happened from when I was on Cosmo before. It was a sad and heartbreaking story. I am sorry it is not resolved itself. You have written a really sad poem here.
