We see

The window on the world we all possess is a sight to behold,
we watch as a passing mother implores her child to take her hand and to keep hold,
the old wizened man walking slowly and bent on the rain slicked street,
why when so many people exist can I not find a mate to spend hours getting ready to go and meet?
I've witnessed life and death, happiness and sadness, anger and total peace,
through all of these times my question remains this,
why do we take every experience as though it were on lease?
not ours to keep, but to lend and hand back once the phase has passed
not ours to keep but to hold on tight to the memories made to bring a frown a smile a tear,
I look out of my window and realise that all my eyes can see show me there is no need to fear,
for the window on the world is inviting us to open our eyes, to embrace life and live it, for there is so much we have to hold dear.
