The matriarch

I watched you mum, work your fingers to the bone,
To provide your family with a safe and loving home,
You stood by me through all my silly mistakes,
Telling me 'Im your mum and will protect you, whatever it takes',
Your pearls of wisdom have always held me in good staid,
Believe it or not mum, I did listen to all you said,
We argue, disagree, dont speak for a week,
But the love we have as mother and daughter is there for us to keep,
To know you are always there whenever i need you,
Gives me the courage to see all my plans through,
I love you mum of that you can rely,
And im certain when you read this poem,
It is sure to make make you cry.

Thankyou for taking time to read my poems..
Im not a very confident writer, I just enjoy doing it..
You're welcome. Well as long as you enjoy writing, people will enjoy reading. People follow people with a voice. I look forward to reading more of your work, Marie.
Thankyou :)
You were asking me if I was an orphan...
If you mean did my parents die when I was young?
No...
They were...
Strangers to me...
They both passed away...
I was Thirty-Seven when they died...
