The Wedding Day

(wedding present i did for my brother and his new wife Louise)

L-plates off,
stage tamed,
late arrival , but today she wont be blamed,

Journey down the nave,
a march of a giving,
a daughter by a father is staged

Vows given to another as a soul,
rings given too represent this as loves eternal whole

an audience watches in joyful silence,
tissues out to wipe crying eyes,
yet none of these tears are sorrow filled,
just a welling at loves sight,
sealed with you may now kiss the bride

crisp linen table tops,
decorated with chrome,
polished and allocated, 
a guests individual throne,

Cake sits three tiers high,
name tags swiped 
by women whom have for love 
such a magpies eye
 and cant resist this shiny token
of which they can but remember it by,

In all this pageantry; paths get laid,
futures are re-insured by trust secured,
and individual is at the biggest they can be 
with a coming together of two half's ,

the start of a beginning, 
Mr. and Mrs.
two ships in a lost life's sea,
still a drift but now together in glee
