A WEEKEND TO REMEMBER

I stood and stared
As the jetliner took to the air
We said our goodbyes
There were a thousand reasons
For me to cry
It was the greatest weekend
I have ever had
Love and desire set ablaze
Burning uncontrollably like wildfire
Smiles and laughter perfumed the air
Your stay was short
But you stole my heart
Holding you in my arms
I felt and understood what love was all about
Your soft spoken words
Your gentle touch
Those sweet caress
I miss you so much
I've concluded that at times
Life seems unfair
As I stood there and saw love
Take to the air
And knowing I'll never see you again
Only infuriated the pain
But I will forever hold you
Close to my heart
Only death can interrupt
What your love has started
Here are a few things
That I've already miss
The softness of your lips
And the passion of your kiss.

Hello Wilford...
Sounds like a great weekend...
Too bad you couldn't do groundhog day...
Over, over and over again...
Thanks for sharing...
Hugs...

I wos gonna say..if it were true love you should have got your ass on the plane...but then I thought, does happily ever after really exist? You have a moment to treasure forever...would that memory become jaded if you did settle down..finally succumbing to the monotony of the every day ? Nice write :)
