~ WEEPING WILLOW ~
Down to the ground your arms do weep
With vital, gracious wings, of a fairy dream
Where, new and ancient dimensions dangle
Gracefully appearing as nature's triangles
And showering down, to the ground's very seams
How I adore the unique shade from your smile
To bask in your distinctive cool for a while
Such sweet refuge you bring, to a warm summer's day
Where I open my notebook, and write the day away
How I adore the music, from the shade of your smile
Such a magically creative place, here beneath your wings
Where anything's possible, where the soul can sing
With the vital, gracious wings, of a fairy driven dream
Such an odd setting, is never-ever what it seems
More a soliloquy here, beneath this willow's happening
Dear weeping willow, yours is a grace that will ever convey
The magic in your aspect, whenever, we bathe in your shade...

I have a thing about trees in general .. but must confess next to the majestic oak .. the willow is pretty much up there among my favourites .. .. there is something very special about them and you have certainly captured much of their grace and in my personal opinion, feminine characteristics ...... It wouldn't be too hard to fall in love with one or two of em and that's for sure :)
