Poem -

We're Not Friends Anymore

I memorized all your birthdays, remembered all your wiles,

Knew the rhythm of your footsteps and the color of your smile

I could sing your favorite songs in acoustic or rewind

I knew all the tones you would use, and which topics you did mind

You memorized all my greatest hits and all the simple poems,

Knew which pois'nous Underworlds made me feel at home

You could pick which lies were truths, and which were an ugly hoax

You knew every line to my stupid, awful jokes

And I still know you, and you still know me

So why is there no room for apology?

We've been through a lot, so what's different this time 'round?

I thought we'd always be fine; absolutely safe and sound

I guess we were exhausted and shamelessly bed-ridden,

Maybe some part of us just didn't want to be forgiven.
