Poem -

What are we doing?

What are we doing?

Rooted to the earth’s crust, robust as trees in anchor deep in soil, we belong to this world as much as the sky, the sands and blue sea in royal.

Intricate lines through time have woven a beautiful masterpiece enlaced with joy and toil.Β  Grains of sand in trillions represent billions of people awash with happiness and turmoil.Β

I recoil at what human hands have done upon this earth, tainted beauty, less fruity in substance, an attempt to rob it of what it’s worth.

Such astounding, profound elegance is thee, I see with all my soul, I am a fool like so many others to take for granted your wonderous enigma, like many others we bury our heads and live in darkness like a mole.

Our nature is everything, our everything, yet we pollute and dilute the hue from her existence, I say again with persistence, what are we doing?

Sheer brilliance, Simon.
Mankind, as a species, has not been a very good caretaker of Mother Earth.
Seeing that she is the only home we've got, one would think we'd have learned our lesson by now.
Excellence...

Thank you so much! I found this image and it started to inspire me.Β  We have not been very good tenants at all really, just so glad there are still parts of our planet untouched and flourishing in beauty!
