What Do You Want?

Peace, tranquility, recognition or satisfaction?
sex, fast cars, laughs in numerous silly bars?
successful relationship, good health, a fancy house?
or rather just to be as quiet as the proverbial mouse?

I had most, but don't have the riches of a ghost,
floating along, impervious to stress I can boast;
I see you trudging from pillar to another post,
routine, ennui, when your life is better than most.

You could have been in Ukraine with so much pain,
think yourself lucky your life is not on the wain,
you have many things, don't appreciate what you've got,
soon it may be all over, your good fortune you forgot.

This could be your last chance, seize the moment,
and just be grateful for the good things you've been sent.
