WHAT FRUIT ?

One piece of fruit a day is good for the soul
All vying for attention in the pretty fruit bowl
The shiny red apple proudly standing there
An appetizing orange and a juicy fresh pear

Bananas in a bunch hope to catch the eye
Grapes in red and green are there to try
Strawberries look delicious that's for sure
So much fruit and still room for even more

Plums look tempting as does the peach
All this fruit to try all within easy reach
Such decisions one has to make in life
What fruit to try he decided to ask his wife

Dearest husband his wife to him replied
I know the one fruit you haven't tried
If I were you and if you were maybe me
I would try the humble little lychee
